Retire In Panama
There are no natural disasters in Panama - no hurricanes that torment many beautiful Caribbean havens, nor are there destructive earthquakes which plague its Central American neighbors.
Retire or keep working in a little town called El Frances in province of Chiriqui (map), in the country of Panama where the weather at this altitude (approximately 1500m.) is not too hot, not too cold and not too rainy...but wait you also get to grow MANGOES, pineapples, sugar apple, sour sop, mangosteen, avocado, breadfruit, orange, papaya ... all the exotic fruits you can think of! The temperature year round is between 20C (68F) and 25C (77F) and NO SNOW! The midday sun is still hot but under a mango tree the breeze just cools you off. The location of this tranquil property is between two towns, each 15 minutes away. One, Boquete to the north, is beautiful, a tourist destination, but also cold, rainy and can't grow mangoes. The other town, David to the south, has huge stores like Price Smart, all kinds of businesses but the climate is hot, humid and unbearable. Everyone goes there to shop, to the cinema, pharmacy, hospital and bars. There is also a beach within driving distance of David.
El Frances is the best between both towns and being right in the middle makes traveling to both very convenient. You have the opportunity to purchase lots starting from 1 hectare (2.5 acres) up to 15 hectares if want to raise cattle. There is a creek at the back of the property which the cows can use all year. This property is about one kilometer (0.6 mile) from the main road between Boquete and David. The location is far enough from the main road to retain the tranquility we all desire. Electricity and municipal water can be installed within about three months. Click here to see the land survey.
