After the notice in our June edition advising that our webmaster, Terry Kong, would be resigning in July, we received numerous letters and phone calls from our loyal readers expressing their regrets and dismay about the possible shut-down of the Chinese Jamaican website. We were overwhelmed by these responses.
Fortunately, a few individuals have come forward and offered to fill the vacancy.
This was very encouraging indeed. We now have a new webmaster. This will continue our objective of keeping our Hakka community and Chinese Jamaicans in touch with one another worldwide.
The reality, however, is that even with a webmaster, we cannot function without Funds. In this regard, we are once again opening our Appeal for Donations to keep the website going. Since there is no membership subscriptions or other revenues, your donation is the only means for the survival of CEEJAY.
Each month we will publish the names of the donors and the accumulated amount collected up to that point. As soon as we reach our goal of Can $2,500, we will withdraw the Appeal. The cash is used for the cost of maintaining our registration and ISP hosting fees.
Donations should be made payable and sent to:

Remember, the Chinese Jamaican website is yours …. the editors are all here on a voluntary basis to gather news briefs and announcements, and to keep you connected with our Hakka community. Feel free to send in your two cents worth to the webmaster about news and events for our community.
We ask for your support one more time.

We are now offering to you our previous web sites from 2000 to 2005 beautifully encased in a jewel case. The scenes of Jamaica that is on the case were taken by the famous Jamaican Photographer Ray Chen (also known for his book “The Shopkeepers”). He was kind enough to allow us to use these on the case as well as on the DVD disk.
You will now be able to see all the sites that you had previously missed.
To offset our production cost we are asking for a donation to our site…..see below
